As Malawi prepares for its General Elections on 16 September 2025, the Centre for Social Accountability and Transparency (CSAT) has launched a nationwide campaign to promote peace, tolerance, and nonviolence during the election period with focus in Mangochi district.
We are calling on all citizens, political parties, candidates, youth, and community leaders to reject political violence in all its forms — before, during, and after the elections.

Centre for Social Accountability and Transparency (CSAT) is currently workimg in Dowa (TAs Chakhaza and Nsakambewa), Machinga (TAs Chamba, Sitola, Nkula, Mizinga and Chinguza). CSAT has built the capacity of 114 Area Develpment Committe (ADC) members in Social Accountability, project tracking and monitoring to improve their Participation and Transparency
"Right to Food in Africa: From Policy to Plate” is an initiative which aims to strengthen the realization of the right to adequate food of rural populations in Kenya, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia and Malawi.
The project sensitizes and supports duty bearers to better fulfil their responsibility in enhancing the realization of the right to food through observation of the principles of participation, transparency, accountability and rule of law. Being implemented in Senior Chief Lulanga and Sub-Traditional Authority Mambo in Mangochi district, the Right to Food project will run up to March 2028.
